BAIBA EXPLORES THE MEANING OF BELONGING WITH NEW SINGLE "HOME"

Latvian-born, Austria-based indie pop artist BAIBA shares her new single Home, a nostalgic and soul-searching track that reflects on belonging, memory, and the bittersweet pull of leaving. The release arrives as a key moment on her forthcoming third studio album Delusional, out next year in 10th of April.

Over the years, BAIBA’s sound has evolved from intimate singer-songwriter roots into a more playful and experimental alt-pop direction. While recent projects have leaned into electronic textures and satirical pop, Home takes a gentler turn. With its indie folk and country-inspired sound, the song reconnects with the warmth and honesty of her early work, offering a moment of reflection within an otherwise eclectic upcoming album.

Written after a visit to her homeland in Latvia, Home captures the push and pull of loving a place deeply while realizing it no longer feels like home. “It’s about the never-ending question: what is home, is it people, places, or something inside of us? I wanted to honor both the beauty of where I grew up and the need to leave in order to find my own happiness,” BAIBA shares. The track carries a mellow warmth that sits perfectly in the shift of seasons, balancing Nordic melancholy with the hopeful spark of moving forward.

Produced with Moritz Kristmann in Vienna, the song layers slide guitar, indie-pop sensibilities, and reflective lyrics into a soundscape that feels familiar yet daringly new for BAIBA’s listeners.
